So in 2004 I was mad enough to propose to my girlfriend on the top of Chaz Dura in La Thuile at the end of a perfect day's skiing. It was a picture postcard moment that was shattered like my new fiance's shoulder during a high speed fall on the descent - after she had said Yes! Now I am trying to piece together the story of the day and I have checked out the mountains on Google Earth, looked at your 2006 piste map and I cannot nail down which exact route we took down. We were heading for a red descent (lift down had closed) which on the 2006 map I think was #6 but before we got there we came to a short stretch of road which had a very steep descent and a steep uphill at the far side. My (new!) fiance went straight down the track and at maximum speed crashed into the upslope. I think it may ahve been on route 30??? becaosue they stretchered her down black slopes which I think were 2 and 3. Can anyone recognise the portion of track I am talking about. Definitely a red. Thanks! Alan
